Being ready for your first boxing match involves much more than technical and physical readiness. There is a whole psychological component that can give you a greater chance of a win. 1:22 Use lateral motion footwork, don’t just go straight back
3:43 Get through the first round so your coach can give you advice
5:00 Have a small library of pre-set combos
6:37 Be ready to go to battle with negative thinking
8:50 Train for top speed 4 weeks leading up to the fight
10:23 Eliminate any surprises on fight day. Be consistent.
